I have been mentoring childbirth preparation classes and attending births for over a decade. Every pregnancy, labor, birth and baby is unique. Every growing family is unique, and although our fundamental needs are the same; our personal needs (and experiences) are very different.

Focusing on the needs of individual moms and dads allows for the deeper questions around birth and parenting to manifest. The inherent fears, questions and concerns that arise, in this life-altering Rite of Passage called parenting, are given permission to be voiced and can be addressed with solution-focused thinking practice as well as reinforcing the intuitive wisdom we all have within ourselves. As Joseph Campbell said:

"Everything you already need to know is within you. Oaks bear acorns but acorns are pregnant with oaks."

A Birthing a Family experience allows each parent to draw on what they already know, trust their intuition and stay present in the moment to stay connected with each other and their baby(s).
